This week OGE's Director Walter M. Shaub, Jr. and General Counsel David J. Apol are addressing ethics officials from Offices of the U.S. Attorneys at the Ethics Advisors Conference, hosted by the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Education. The conference, being held at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC, provides an excellent opportunity for OGE to share guidance and resources in a collaborative learning environment.
Director Shaub is speaking about the key resources and communication tools that OGE makes available to ethics officials across the country. He is providing participants with timely updates on OGE's current initiatives, including modernized ethics regulations and public financial disclosure reports as well as new legal guidance. General Counsel Apol is speaking about OGE's recently released and well received social media ethics guidance. He will summarize the common-sense guidance that Federal employees can follow to ensure that they engage in everyday social media activities in an ethical manner and engage ethics officials about how they will apply the guidance to the situations they face.
